Changes to IR35 ‘off payroll working’ rules
In the Chancellor’s ‘plan for growth’, he announced changes to IR35 or ‘off payroll working’ rules. The rules were originally brought in in an attempt to stop contractors using personal service companies to pay less tax than they would have done as employees. HMRC called it disguised employment.
